As professionals in the 21st cent ury, we are always connected and always on the go. Often, this comes at the cost of our health, balance, focus and calm. Reggie Hubbard ‘97 learned th is first hand working on Capitol Hill. After a particularly tough time in h is career, he took up yoga and meditation as a hobby. It awakened within hi m a deep curiosity and a profound love of adventure, genuine connection, la ughter, and a proclivity to take the road less traveled. He now teaches yog a to new and old colleagues on the Hill, providing them with tools to be mo re mindful. In this event, he will talk about his journey to yoga and take us through a practice of breathwork, meditation, light stretching and joint mobility enhancements. Come with an open mind and ready to engage a dynami c yogi. About Reggie Howard '97 Reggie began his yoga journey in November 2014 seeking to alc hemize and navigate extreme professional adversity. Through disciplined pr actice, ruthless focus and surrender to inner peace he has adopted the yogi c path, now as a 500 hour certified yoga teacher who has served Members of Congress, Congressional Staff, leading progressive organizations and indivi duals, sharing techniques for growing peace and ease as a foundation, not a n afterthought. He also advises yoga communities and the broader wellness industry on the importance of diversity and inclusion, opening the practice to all and eliminating exclusionary cultures and habits. His teaching practice is designed for all levels and lifestyles, the only thing required is an open mind. The focus of his teaching is to bring more peace and balance to activists AND to guide the wellness community toward being more engaged, concerned citizens. Achieving this balance is how we ca talyze transformative change. In addition to his yogic ac tivities, Reggie has held many senior strategic and logistical roles across a variety of fields, ranging from global marketing, digital and community organizing, government relations, international education to Presidential c ampaigning. He received a B.A. in philosophy from Yale University and an M BA in international strategy from the Vlerick Business School in Belgium. span> Support the Yale Club of Washington, DC< /p> The Yale Club of Washington, DC offers this event to our members and alumni.
