Help Catholic Charities in receiving food donations by unloading, weighing, and sorting food bags.

Food Drives are a great way to support the warehouse in getting food in and out for those in need! Help Catholic Charities in receiving food donations by unloading, weighing, and sorting food bags. Families are welcome. Heavy lifting required. Parents, please plan to accompany your children for youth service. The minimum age is 12 years; but if the child is younger than 12, well-behaved and can follow instructions, they are welcome as well.

This is the Yale Club of DC's first Yale Day of Service event for 2024. While Yale’s official Yale Day of Service date will be May 11, 2024, the university encourages alumni groups to organize projects throughout the year on days that work best for volunteers and community organizations. If you are interested in organizing a YDS event for the Yale Club of DC on a day and with a community group that suits you, please contact Caroline Drees on 202-222-5959.

The Yale Club of Washington, DC offers this event to our members and alumni.  However, we do ask for your support in one or both of the following ways: 

1)      Please become a member if you are not one already. 

2)      Donate to the Yale Club of Washington, DC (see option on registration page).
